After three days of vacation in Athens with my mother and my sister it's time to come back in Rome. Athens is a beautiful city and people are very nice, especially with Italians.
We chose Ryanair for the low and convenient price. I didn't report the flight between Rome and Athens because I didn't have window seat.
Around 5 PM we took a taxi from our hotel near Acropolis to the Athens International Airport-"Eleftherios Venizelos", located about 33 km from the city.

The satellite terminal apparently unused at the moment

The ATC tower

The check-in hall of the airport was airy and spacious

As soon as we had about 2 hours before boarding I decided to go upstairs to McDonald's because I read about a spotting position. Unfortunately, also for the bad weather, I didn't catch anything interesting
Aegean Airlines A320s

Aegean Airlines A320s and Swiss A321

Olympic Air Bombardier Dash 8-103

KLM Boeing 737-800

Differently from many other airports there's a large shopping before the security checkpoint. Then the passengers should pass through a boarding pass check (or passport control in case of extra-Schengen flights) to enter airside. The security check-point is taken directly before every gate.

The choice of shops and F&B is quite good. As tradition I bought a plane model, in this case a KLM Boeing 777-200ER with 95th Anniversary special livery
Boarding was called on time and we made our way through the security check-point.

Beyond the security check-point there's an anonymous boarding loung without anything, just some food kiosks and restroom

Our gate, B31, was on the ground floor

Passengers were divided between Priority and General boarding. At this point something very disappointing happened. We were among the first 50/60 passengers in the lounge and we had only carry-on baggages. The lady at the desk told us to ship the baggages and she said that was something mandatory for all the passengers of the flight. After many others had came in the boarding lounge she started to give the possibility to keep the baggage as carry-on. Me and other passengers complained about this situation but she was inflexible. Many people started literally to pray for a short time of delivery in Rome.
Boarding started on time and we were bussed to our plane

I gave the Purser my trip report and I took my seat, 24 C

We started moving from our position with a bit of late but fortunately we will regain time during the flight
After three days of beautiful sun, it started raining while we were at the airport

And finally in the air!!!

We passed through a light turbolence just after take-off

The flight was quiet. I spend most of the time listening to music and making crosswords

Perfectly on time we started our descent to Rome-Ciampino International Airport
The best thing of landing in this airport is the flight over Rome and if it's at night…no words to describe

Rome-Tiburtina High Speed Station

We landed on time. After the landing the Purser officialy "invited" me to visit the cockpit in order to take the flight report

My fish-like face says all about my emotions
Thank you so much to F/O Johnatan

Our baggages were among the firsts fortunately

Rome-Ciampino Airport is entitled to Giovan Battista Pastine, an Italian aviator who died during I World War

R(H)OME SWEET HOME!
This is the flight report form of this flight

The captain of Rome-Athens flight also gave me some papers about flight route and weather forecast

That's the end of my report. I hope you would appreciate it
As a beginner I'm open to every correction or advice ;)
I like this FR. Thanks.
