Hi, I have read many reports on this site but this is my first time writing a report.
I will start with a short flight I took from Calgary to Vancouver.
I was taking a trip to Vancouver for the Easter weekend. From downtown Calgary, I took the 300 Airport BRT to Calgary International Airport. It took about 45mins to get from downtown to the airport. From where the bus stops at the airport, I had to get up to the departures level and across to the other side of the terminal to the AC counters. There was no wait at the Priority Check-in counters, the agent quickly checked my bag and commented it was almost empty. I made my way to clear security. There were no lines at this hour.

Afterwards I proceeded to the recently renovated AC lounge.

I got some food and sat by the window, no hot food being offered at this time except soup.

Spotted a AC B787 bound for LHR. This was the first time I saw a 787 at YYC.

I didn't quite capture it but it was quite beautiful with the sun setting behind the Rocky Mountains, downtown in the distance and the 787 in the foreground.

Made my way to the gate about 45mins before scheduled departure and the A320 taking me to Vancouver was just pulling up to the gate.

The screen still had Toronto as the destination.

On-board!

Prior to push-back, the captain mentioned there would be some nice views of downtown on the right side of the aircraft after we take off from runway 17R.

Turning west towards British Columbia.

Meal service in economy is the standard AC pretzels with choice of a drink.
Almost there!

Arrived! There are quite a few departures for destinations in the Asia Pacific late night at YVR.

Baggage pickup.
