After first time in Europe in the Christmas and the celebrates of the new year, I returned to my country.
It was very nice, very cold but beatiful.
Here some pictures from Berlin:
I arrived to the terminal in Tegel airport 3 hours before the flight. Too much time before. The terminal isn't big and there's nothing to do. Just eat or buy gadgets and clothes that expensive than in the shops in Germany.
My suitcase weight was 23.9KG and I didn't paid for overweight. So thanks to Air Berlin.
The gate supposed to open in 20.30, but it opened in 21.15.
Only one person was in the border inspection. It was very slow.
The security was slow also but very strict. I think it's improtant to our security as passengers.
Finally I reached and finished the security process. Than I saw the ugliest and smallest Duty free I ever saw in my life:

After half hour the boarding opened. The aircraft parked in solitude area. There was hard smell of diesel in the bus that took us to the aircraft.
Aircraft Info:
Air Berlin
Boeing 737-800
D-ABBD, one of the oldest B738 in AB fleet.
Cabin View:
Window view:
The aircraft is older than the D-ABMU that I flew 10 days before, cabin looks older and the lights are less comfortable.
The seat was OK, but near to me sat huge man and It wasn't comfort… even I small guy (Only 1.70 Meter).
The flight was little bumpy due to the weather.
Half hour after take off, the crew served snack. I could chose between Nature Vallie or salty cracker. It was OK but I think that It's not enough for 4 hours flight.
Next time in Germany is less than 3 months and I'll fly with Lufthnsa. I hope they'll be better than Air Berlin.
Thanks for this FR.
More pictures of the flight (eg the snack) would have been very welcome
Sorry but I don't have more pictures. I the next travel I'll take photo of everything :)
Thanks for sharing this FR!
TXL is not a nice airport at all so I wouldn't want to spend 3 hours there either.
Great tarmac shots and cabin shots. I'm surprised your plane is still in the old livery, these must be rare.
The snack offerings sound quite poor for European standards.
As wingslover said, some pictures during the actual flight would be greatly appreciated in your next series.
In the next flight I'm sure that I'll seat near to the window, so I'll take a lot of photos. (I reserved a seat because I'll travel with good friend)
unfortunately, my flight from FRA to TLV will be a night flight, so I hope that I can to take some pictures from the window, because It's very dark and I doesn't have Full Frame camera right now...
Thanks for the fr.
If you could choose an airline to fly to berlin, which company you choose?
UP or AIR BERLIN?
Air Berlin.
Ok thanks.
Can you tell me why?
Newer aircrafts sometime, flight arrived and departed in time, better price, They take off in Saturday... (I arrived to Israel in the morning of Saturday, and as You should know, UP will not take off in Friday night...)
Oh ok.
I don't know what company should I take to Berlin.
The hotel check in start at 2 p.m and Air Berlin flight landing at 8:05 a.m so I don't know what to do.
Last time that I flew to Prague I was so tired and I don't know where to go.
I want to fly Air berlin but my head tell Up.
And I don't love night flights because I come home at morning and I go sleep after the flight, and after it I can't sleep at night, so in the situation my head tells again Up.
Can you give me some advice?
I don't love low cost flights and I don't know what to do
Air Berlin are also simillar somehow to LC airlines. Meal and seat reserve doesn't include in the price.
You can take a taxi or bus to the hotel, put the suitcase in luggage storage in your hotel, and go to travel in Berlin.
You have also Easyjet flights to SXF.
But Air Berlin give some hot/cold drink and I can reserve Sansibar meal, I don't need to pay for the laggage.
In prague I can't stand on my legs until I go sleep at evening.
I don't want to pay If I fly to Berlin Up smart because it is expensive.
But I can upgrade and I'm afraid if their would not no empty seat in tourist plus.
I don't know what to do.
