Review of KLM flight from Amsterdam to Saint Martin in Economy

Hello all and welcome to my flight report.
Back in 2012 I was travelling to St. Maarten, because I was not expecting to write an FR it will be a short report, but i want to share it with you.
I had 2 weeks off work and was searching for an vacation in the sun ;)
After days of searching I found and good offer to St. Maarten oh I have to say I'm an AvGeek so my decision was made. From Europe to SXM there are two ways, ok if you spend an night in the US you have more options, but mainly via CDG with AF A340-300 or AMS with KL B747-400. I love Amsterdam, KLM, the Fokker and the return flight was via Curacao so i booked the KL flight.
I started my journey at my home airport Dusseldorf, this morning it was raining yes it was definitive end of October. The flight was operated by PH-KZC an Fokker 70 departure was scheduled for 06:10 am and departure was on time and after 35 minutes in-flight we arrived into rainy Amsterdam. It was still dark outside so i didn't take pictures.
After a short visit to some shops at Schiphol it was time to wait.
The Boarding for the flight to St. Maarten and Curacao started on time, the flight was operated by PH-BFA (City of Atlanta), at this time the plane was 25 years old.
My Seat was located in the last row, so it takes some time to walk.

due the narrowing of the Plane, you have a nice legroom in the back.
The push-back started nearly on time after a short taxing we lined up runway 24 „Kaagbaan”.

After a long take-off run we lifted up into the grey sky, time to destination: 8:30h.

Over England breakfast was served.

Some hours in-flight St. Maarten passengers received their Arrival Cards.

after the lunch ice-cream was served.
The food was ok nothing special but this is Economy you get what you pay for

the flight was nearly full booked

After spending some time with the IFE it was time to left the cruise level and then Anguilla came in sight which followed by St. Maarten/St. Martin.

Unfortunately we were not so low as I hooped and after a rough touchdown and hard braking, we turned on the runway and taxied to the Gate.

we arrived 30 minutes earlier than scheduled at the Gate, most of the pax stay on board to continue to Curacao.

The immigration was done very quick and i take a taxi to my hotel the sonesta maho beach resort & casino. The Hotel is just perfect for aviation enthusiast.
after check-in at the hotel i made my way directly to the beach ;)
