Flight: US Airways 892
Aircraft: Airbus A319
Scheduled Departure / Actual: 11:35am / 12:04pm
Scheduled Arrival / Actual: 3:45pm / 4:37pm
After my flight from Newark it was time to connect on to St. Kitts! There was an hour and a half connection time and the connecting gate was on the opposite side of the airport. We were able to arrive at the gate about 30 minutes before boarding.

The gate agents checked everyone's passport before boarding, and boarding was called on time about 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

If you look closely you can see the baggage handler resting in the cargo hold!
Pushback occurred immediately after boarding and we departed on time from the gate. Flight attendants performed a manual safety demonstration.

Upon almost reaching the runway the captain made an announcement informing us that we were going to have to hold on the tarmac and wait for air traffic control clearance upon the route to St. Kitts. He also stated that he would get us down to paradise soon! The initial delay was supposed to be 45 minutes but that was shortened to 25 minutes. The flight attendants made an announcement explaining they were going to come through the aisles with water but they did not have enough time after we continued to taxi to the runway.

At 12:04pm we were airborne and en route to St. Kitts!

The weather wasn't very good in charlotte and we hit a few bumps during the climb
Once we reached cruising altitude the flight attendants came through the aisle with beverages and food for purchase. Since I had not eaten yet and we were not arriving for the next few hours I decided to get the chicken cheddar wrap. Priced at $8.49 it was expensive!

The meal came in a box that included two chicken cheddar wraps, honey mustard sauce, chips, and a chocolate-raspberry cookie. It was delicious and good sized. After the food service immigration forms were distributed to every passenger.

St. Kitts airport does not have jet bridges, so all passengers have to disembark on mobile staircases and walk to the terminal

Customs was quick and efficient and we were granted entry within no time!
From then on it was a wonderful stay on the beautiful island of St. Kitts!
