Charleston airport is currently undergoing renovations to all of the passenger facilities. Concourse A (Delta and Silver) is being update, while 7 gates are being added to Concourse B (United, US Airways, American, Porter, and Southwest.) I did not get any pictures so please take a look at www.chs-airport.com and www.chs-trip.com . The new security has been completed so far. I had TSA Pre-Check and I was able to go through the first class line

. Boarding Pass
We continued to wait in the general seating area (no lounge in CHS).
Once boarding was called, First class was the second group aboard, behind people needing assistance. I got settled into the seat. It had nice padding and surprisingly good recline. The seat definitely did not need to be reclined to be comfortable. Immediately after I sat down, the lead FA came over and offered me a pre-departure beverage.

Diet Coke PDB

Okay legroom for this short flight
Blanket

After a short taxi, we departed on time. The view on take off is quite good as you can see into the Boeing 787 factory. You can also see the entire peninsula of Charleston.

Once in the air, the FA came around for drink orders. She had already memorized what we previously had.

Diet Coke Beverage

The snack basket had a little bit of everything. These were delicious!

Enjoying the pretty views during the flight.

Touchdown

We arrived at Gate D63. Out bags were checked through to SCL so we did not have to pick them up.
Hi there! Thanks for sharing your first report! It's well written with some good detail. AA sure is getting a lot of love lately on the site, with 6 or 7 AA reports on the homepage alone! Just a few tips for your next report--as you can see horizontal (landscape) pictures work better than vertical (portrait) pics on the site. Also comments are better above the pics than below, here, which is also different from other site. A few cabin shots would have been nice, though I know what an American Eagle E175 looks like, since I just did a report on one :-)
Looking forward to the next report in the series.
Welcome to Flight-Report!
Thanks! Unfortunately the rest of the reports will be vertical since I took them all on an iPhone. I have the macbook with no USB ports so I took the pictures on my phone so that they could wirelessly download. I will probably use my camera next time. Thanks!
You can turn your phone sideways you know :-P
See you on the next report!
