This is my first report and since i knew American Airlines was operating the B777-200 retrofit i changed my tickets to try the new cabin and the new service.
American Airlines have 4 flights to and from Buenos Aires, Ezeiza. 2 to Miami, 1 to Dallas DFW and 1 to New York JFK every night, and the 4 flights arrive in the morning. The B777 retrofit is flying to Miami and the new B787 is flying to DFW. The others 2 flights are operated with the B777.-200 with the old cabin. But this will change in a few weeks, DFW will be operated with the B777 old cabin again and the B777 retrofit will be flying to JFK and no to Miami.
Flying in J Class you can choice your meal untill 24 hours prior flight. You have 4 choices, between cow meat, chicken and pasta or cold meat. The Argentinians love meat so, is a good oportunity to taste a good one.
Take note, in the American Airline App the map is wrong for this plane. The raw A start in the second. So, the 1A is the 2A in fact. The place of the 1A is ocuppied for a closet, this make the 2D in a grat privacy and quiet seat.
The American Admiral lounge is shared with Iberia Airlines (who have 2 daily flights to Madrid/Spain) and the service is good, but was better, with more food and better wine, by the way.
The B777.200 retrofit is equiped with Main Cabin Extra. Same service than Economy but with extra legroom. This is free for Advantage Platinum and ExcPlatinum and OneWorld Emerald And Sapphire. Half price for Advantage Gold and OneWorld Ruby.
The laybout in the MCE is 3-3-3, 1 raw less than economy.
Economy now have 1 more raw. In the old cabin the layout was 2-5-2 and now is 3-4-3.
The toilette in the front is new too and this plane have 1 more betwen the first Business Class and the mini business cabin in the right side.
The food was amazing, with argentine cow meat (one of the best in the world).
The first galley was not used and this is the view from my seat.
Have a place where you can take drinks, fresh fruit, snaks and more. I forget to take pictures and this was before the TCP finish in to clean up.

The Admirals Club looks nice and at least there is some free food.
I think the J cabin of the 787 has the same seats as the new retrofitted 772. I will get a chance to try them in a few days on my way to Brazil and will report about it. I guess you beat me to it.
I am surprised by the appetizer that you were served. It seems that AA has downgraded it from the nice tuna one that they had in the past.
The buffet is a nice touch and one of the few good things about AA J.
Sure. I noted the seats a Little diferent, but i will wait your opinion about it. =)

Great First Report! Very thorough with lots of good photos. It is nice to see a report on the 772 retrofit! Hopefully I'll get to try out these new J seats soon. Have tried the 77W and new 763 seats.
