Review of Singapore Airlines flight from Hong Kong to Singapore in Economy

Hi guys, welcome to my first ever trip report on this website.
Just June this year, i went on a vacation with my family to Hong Kong om Singapore Airlines. This report will be on the return flight back to Singapore. I will not write a trip report on the outbound leg as i did not snap sufficient pictures for a trip report to be possible. Despite the lack of pictures on the outbound leg, the return trip was fairly interesting as it was operated by Singapore Airline's special SG50 Airbus A380, 9V-SKI. So here it goes…
I have been in Hong Kong for 4 days now and it was time to head back to Singapore. I was booked on the 1520h Singapore Airlines flight back to Singapore on the A380. I arrived at HKIA with about 2 hours to spare and check in was done in less than 15 minutes. Once my family and I got our boarding passes, we headed over to the airside where i did some planespotting while my mom went to do some last minute shopping.

Post-planespotting, i made a beeline for Gate 15 where my flight was scheduled to depart from at 1520h.

When boarding was called for Suites, Business, PPS Club and Krisflyer Gold, I went over to join the queue to board the aircraft. Once onboard, i settled into my seat, 56K.

The doors closed on time and we pushed back. At the same time, the menu for the flight was distributed to all passengers.

After holding on the taxiway for some time due to congestion… We taxied onto runway 07L and roared down the runway.

15 minutes after take off, the seat belt sign was turned off and the Singapore Girls started the service. A packet of nuts was given out to each passenger with a drink accompanying it.

Somewhere over off the coast of Vietnam, dinner was served and i went with the Pasta Choice. The pasta was well cooked and tasted pretty good.

Soon after most of us were done with the main meal, ice cream was served.

An hour post-meal, we began our desend into Singapore with the sun setting.
