This is my post-exam trip to Tokyo, Japan. Also, my very first time on a LCC which their service has surprise me. The airfare i bought was only HKD$1200/ppl and i added 20KG checkin luggage that cost 200 per leg. Total cost is only around $1700 which seat selection and priority checkin are included

My passport suited with new passport cover bought in Chinese-version Ebay- Taobao which the passport cover is indeed paper. The quality is really good and it is RFID-proof.

Backpack packed with different stuff such as my airberlin gold tag.

This is the camera i brought with me this time. Sony A7 II with a 55mm F1.8 len. The photo quality and looking are astonishing.

Well… Japan is a shopping paradise and with the yen depreciating. A 29 luggage is a must for the 5 day trip.

After the cargo van ride from downtown to airport (It is indeed a lot cheaper than taxi and more space for placing luggage. HKD$250, US$ 32), the first thing to do is of course to get the boarding pass first. I am a bit surprised that even i was 3.5 hrs before departure time, it is already 51 sec for me. As Hkexpress doesn't have online-check in at the moment.

Food in HK airport is expensive. Luckily, this newly-opened dim sum store provide a great bargain for me and my fellow friends to fill in ourselves. The meal is around HKD$30, US$3.8. It is way cheaper than other restaurants charged you

Arrived at the boarding gate 509 which located in the NSC(North Satellite Concourse). About 1 hr prior to boarding time, not a lot people waiting yet

At exactly 23:20, the ground crew started to board the plane by sequence of elderly, children and disabled first. Followed by other passengers.

The wing view of the new A320- Sharklet. It is a good looking machine.

Safety card for this A320

Hkexpress starts naming their aircraft with different dim sums

The legroom is enough for me (174cm tall)

A common design of seat pocket of LCC aircraft right?

I slept in this red-eye flight. This is the photo taken by me at the time of descent

Mt. Fuji far away from the plane but visible. Nature beauty

Taxing by a ANA 787. My favorite plane of all time

Looking back to the A320 flying us from Hong Kong to Tokyo
Long Haul LCC such as Air Asia X is actually not too bad as long as their fare is low enough to justify the savings.
I like HK Express. They used to fly to Guam when I lived there. It was a long, but pleasant flight. I usually ended up getting an exit row seat as I never chose my seat until check in. The fares were excellent compared to other options to go from Guam to HK.
